I'm so absolutely shocked at the amount of worthless flashes that have been submitted to the portal recently. I mean, i've just taken a solid interest in actually rating and reviewing flashes. But, everytime I "1" or "0" a flash that has a picture of a smiley face with "do do do" in the background or other stupid stuff, they somehow creep into the main website.

I think it's time reviewers and raters began to seriously smack down on some of the junk that gets submitted (as I read in a topic made by WadeFulp in the forums). Personally, i'm going to be doing what I can to stop some of the junk passing through on to the website.

Obviously, well designed and site-worthy submissions will get a score equal to the amount of effort shown and the structure of the flash.

Below is an example of useless entries that not only clog up space on the NG HDD, but use up bandwidth as well

you're so right, people need to make some flashes on here that aren't just a bunch of scribbles that they made just because they were bored. this is why NG isn't so cool anymore, we try to be funny and save random crap and say W00T! BEST FLASH EVAR!!!!!!!! then its really just a scribble... a crappy scribble at that. Flashes like that shouldn't even be allowed on the portal. It may say "Everything by everyone" but seriously, everyone should make flashes that don't waste our time.

We do try and clean up the portal, but sometimes it cant be stopped because of the crews like the CC.
